Created in 2010 to meet the need for a world-class IXP in France, France-IX association quickly decided to isolate this activity within an operating company, France-IX Services SAS, which it set up for this purpose. It has since become the sole owner.
In 2021, the France-IX Association merged with Rezopole, an association working in Lyon and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region to set up an IXP and its community eco-system, with good results since 2001.
In 2023, a new dynamic was given and activities are now organised within the Association, such as training courses (BGP workshop), events (aPEERo), and others to come.
Every month, in partnership with a digital player, the Association organises an aPEERo in a different town where a France-IX POP is located.
The aPEERo are informal events that bring together players in the network and telecoms sectors.
Every month, the Association organises video conferences to discuss a range of issues,
You can take part in the Association's governance decisions by attending the General Meetings.
Membership of the France-IX Association entitles you to priority invitations to events.
Members can sponsor aPEERo and benefit from a privileged opportunity to showcase their projects to the community.
