Governance of the Association
The France-IX Association is a not-for-profit organisation registered on 4 June 2010 under number W751205285.
It is organised like many other associations in France, with a Board of Directors elected for 3 years and renewed by thirds.
- Candidates for election to the Board may or may not be members.
- The Board organises itself internally to choose its representatives (Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, etc.).
- The Association's articles of association are available here.
- They are amended when necessary after a vote by the members.
How it works
As a not-for-profit association under the French law of 1901, France-IX Association has a duty to bring its members together once a year to approve the closing of the accounts and the renewal of the members of the Board of Directors. Board of Directors.
Held within 6 months of the end of the financial year, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a key event for the entire France-IX Association ecosystem. As well as reviewing the activity and results of the France-IX IXP over the previous accounting period, these events are an opportunity to announce new developments and to have a relaxed exchange of views between members and with representatives of the Board of Directors.
Voting is reserved for members of the Association, but General Meetings are open by invitation and registration to the entire French peering ecosystem: members, customers of France-IX Services SAS, partners and guests.
General Meetings are generally held as follows:
- Introductory remarks
- Presentation of results and activities by the Board of Directors
- Presentation of sponsors
- Introduction of candidates for the Board of Directors
- Vote
- Voting results.
