The BGP Workshop enables you to grasp, understand and use BGP routing, the founding protocol of the Internet and necessary for using IXP and peering. The workshop familiarises you with the techniques used to advertise and filter your networks, both in IPv4 and IPv6. The concepts of Peering and Route Server are also covered.

This BGP workshop gives you the opportunity to discover and use BGP routing through concrete examples.

IPv6 is covered throughout the workshop alongside IPv4 concepts.

Private sessions can be organised in-house or on specific request.

The France-IX Association has held a number of BGP workshop sessions in Lyon since 2012. From now on BGP workshop will be organised geographically according to demand.
